Current Research Students

The following research students are currently working at the Space Technology Centre.

Albert Ferrer-Florit

Albert Ferrer

Albert Ferrer's research investigates reliable, Real-Time transport protocols for low latency switching networks, with the main focus on SpaceWire technology. His work also involves the analysis of Network On Chip and other application domains that face similar challenges that Spacecraft Onboard Data Handling: In short, provide Quality of Service at high speeds with simple, energy-efficient, network components.

Craig Ramsay

Craig Ramsay

Craig Ramsay's research investigates the provision of effective software engineering tool support for detailed design documentation activities, in particular assessing the effectiveness of multiple synchronised views of documentation which allow users to work in multiple cognitive domains.

Mark McCrum

Mark McCrum

Mark McCrum is currently studying for his PhD in the Space Technology Centre. His area of research is the use of computer simulation for the exploration of Mars. Specifically he is looking at the use of PANGU for helping to develop autonomous, vision-based guidance systems for Mars rovers and for supporting rover operator training.
