Masters Research

Masters Research in Spacecraft Systems or Spacecraft Avionics are one year research programmes where you join the research and development team in the Space Technology Centre. You will be assigned a specific research project related to your skills, experience and interest. This project will be part of a larger research project so you will be part of a team right from the start. Each student will be given two supervisors: a post-doctoral researcher working in a directly related area to the project and an academic supervisor. Learning is “on the job” understanding a problem, researching potential solutions, trading them off against relevant criteria and then implementing and testing the solution.

Masters Research in Spacecraft Systems or Spacecraft Avionics can be studied part time. This is designed specifically for people working in the space industry or other high technology industry who want additional skills or a broader technological outlook while still working in industry. The approach is flexible to fit in with your other commitments.
