SpaceWire Conference held at University of Dundee

Blairgowrie High School Visit

The University of Dundee had the honour of hosting the first International SpaceWire Conference, from 17 to 19 September 2007. The conference was organised by the Space Technology Centre, where the SpaceWire standard was written, in collaboration with the European Space Agency. Delegates attended from across the globe with representatives from the major space agencies and industry.

A wide range of technical papers were presented on many SpaceWire-related topics including

  • Missions and applications
  • Components
  • Onboard equipment and software
  • Test and verification
  • Networks and protocols
  • Standardisation

There was also an industrial exhibition, featuring the Space Technology Centre spin-out STAR-Dundee Ltd, as well as other major international suppliers of SpaceWire technology and devices.
